Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026. This is a working template. Advertising and analytics vary by site, and privacy law varies by country - have it checked against your own setup before you rely on it.

The short version

There is no account here, so there is nothing to build a profile from. We see the link you paste and the number that identifies your connection. We use both for a few minutes, then throw them away. We never ask for your email, so we do not have it.

What is collected, and why

The link you submit

We hold it for about 10 minutes, so the next person after the same post gets an answer faster. It sits against the link itself, never against you, and it clears on its own.

The number that identifies your connection

Every phone and computer online has one. We use it for one thing: to count how many links arrive from you each minute, so nobody can flood the site and slow it for everyone. That count lasts 60 seconds and then goes. It is never tied to the links you sent.

Records of visits

The company that runs this website’s machines records visits on its own, the way every website does. That normally covers the number identifying your connection, which app you opened the site with, the time, and the page you asked for. It exists for security and for fixing faults. How long they are kept is set by the company running the servers rather than by us.

Theme preference

Switch between the light and dark look and your phone remembers your choice on its own. It never reaches us and we cannot read it.

What is never collected

  • Your Instagram password. We never ask for it, so we never have it. No honest downloader needs it.
  • The videos and pictures you take. They travel to you from Instagram itself. We make no copy here.
  • A list of what you downloaded. Nothing connects a link to a person, so no such list exists - not to hand over, and not to leak.
  • Contact details, unless you email us - in which case we have your email because you sent it.

Cookies

We do not set any cookie to follow you around. The advert companies on this page may set their own, under their own rules. Those are the only cookies you are likely to meet on this site.

Third parties that see something

The company that looks up the video. We pass the link to them. They see the link and our own address - never yours.

Instagram. The video travels to you from them, so they see the number identifying your connection, exactly as every website you open does.

The advert companies on this page, each under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

The law where you live may give you the right to see what is held about you, correct it, delete it, ask for a copy, or object to how it is used. Europe and the UK have a law called the GDPR. California has a similar one called the CCPA. Many other countries have their own.

In practice there is usually nothing to act on, because we keep almost nothing and none of it has your name on it. Even so, write to support@saveigreels.app and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the data protection office in your country.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, write in and it will be removed.

Security

The site should always load with the padlock showing at the top of the screen. Because we store so little, there is not much here for anyone to steal - there is no list of users at all. Even so, no website is perfectly safe, and nothing here is a promise.

Changes

If anything important changes, it goes on this page and the date at the top changes. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept the new version.
