About Save Instagram Reels
Save Instagram Reels turns a public Instagram link into a file you can keep. That is all it does. No app to install, no account to make, and no counter telling you how many downloads you have left.
Why it exists
Instagram exists for scrolling, not for keeping things. There is no save button that puts a video on your phone. The bookmark inside the app only works while the post is still up and while you are logged in - if the person deletes it, your bookmark leads nowhere.
So people screenshot recipes, lose the how-to video they meant to watch again, and find their own old post is the only copy left. This fills that gap, and nothing else.
How it works
You paste a link. We work out where the video or picture actually sits on Instagram and pass that address to your phone. Your phone then pulls it straight from Instagram.
It never travels through our website and we keep no copy. The privacy page sets out what is briefly held and for how long.
What it will not do
- It does not open private accounts. This is a rule, not something we plan to add later. When someone locks their account, they are choosing who gets to see it. We leave that alone.
- It never asks for your Instagram password. No honest downloader does. Sites that ask are collecting accounts - and the ones promising private posts are usually doing exactly that.
- It keeps nothing of yours. No history, no copies, no record of what you took.
- It will not help you find out who somebody is. Who sits behind an account, or where they live, is not what this is for.
How it pays for itself
The adverts on the page, and nothing else. Every link we look up costs us money, so the adverts keep the site free instead of a monthly fee.
What we do not sell: anything about you. We build no profile, we pass nothing to anyone, and we do not have your email because we never ask for it.
About the content you save
Saving something does not transfer its copyright. That single sentence is the reason this site refuses some things and warns about others, so it belongs here rather than buried in the small print.
It also shapes what we build. We will not add a one-click re-post button, a bulk scraper for somebody else’s account, or anything else whose main use is passing off another person’s work as your own.
