How to download a long Instagram video
The steps are the same as for any other video. The difference comes afterwards, because these files are large and take longer to reach your phone.
1. Copy the video link
Three dots, then Copy link. Older videos have /tv/ in the link.
2. Paste it above
Press Download. Finding the video takes the same few seconds as a short one.
3. Save the video
Press the button under the video and it starts. Long videos take a while, so leave the page open until it finishes.
IGTV does not exist any more
Instagram used to keep long videos in a separate section called IGTV. They closed it and moved those videos in with normal posts, so you will not see the name anywhere in the app today.
The old links still work. Many long videos from those years are still online with /tv/ in the address. If you have an old link or an old bookmark, paste it in the box above.
It will take longer
A 10-minute video can be more than 100 MB, which is roughly 20 times the size of a short Reel.
We find it just as quickly as a short clip. The wait comes afterwards, while the video travels to your phone, and that depends on your internet speed rather than on this site.
If you are using mobile data, wait until you have wifi. A single long video can use up a large part of your monthly data.
If it stops halfway
Almost always your internet connection dropped for a moment. The video is still there. Try again somewhere the signal is steady.
There is one other cause. Download buttons stop working after a while, so if the page has been open for a long time, go back, paste the link again, and use the new button.

Is there a limit on how long the video can be?
Not from us. The only real limits are your internet speed and how much free space your phone has left.

No, the whole video comes down in one piece. You can cut out the part you want afterwards with any video editing app.
