No. You paste a link and the video comes down. We have no connection to your Instagram account and we never ask for your password. If a download site asks for it, close the page - that is how people lose their accounts.

It is free. The adverts on the page pay for it, and that is the whole arrangement. There is a small limit on how many links you can send each minute, so one person cannot slow the site for everyone. Normal use will never reach it.

Any phone, tablet or computer that can open websites - Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac. Nothing to install. One thing to watch on iPhone: Safari drops downloads into the Files app, not straight into Photos.

No, and be careful with any site that says you do. Apps and add-ons ask to watch everything you do online, which is far more than one video needs.

No. That is on purpose, not something we plan to add later. When somebody locks their account, they decide who gets to see their posts. We leave that decision alone.

No. Nobody can see a private account without already being let in. So that site is either lying to pull in visitors, or it wants your Instagram password so it can log in as you and look. Hand over your password and you have given your account to a stranger.

Yes. But for your own posts, Instagram has a better option built in. Go to Settings, then Your activity, then Download your information. That gives you everything at full quality, including posts you have hidden.

The same as the person posted. We do not shrink it and we add nothing. Instagram already makes everything smaller the moment it goes up, so what they keep is what you get. Nobody can do better than that.

No, because neither one still exists. Instagram makes every upload smaller and removes the camera details at the same time. A website promising 4K is only stretching that same video to a bigger size, which makes the download heavier without improving the picture.

Into your Downloads folder. On Android, open the Files app and look under Downloads. On iPhone, open Files, tap Downloads, then use the share button to move it across to Photos.

No. Nothing you download is stored here, and there is no library of past downloads to browse or leak. What we hold is the address of the file for a few minutes, never the file. The privacy page lists everything, with the timings.

Three things, in this order. Is the account public? Is the post still there? And is the link clean? That last one catches most problems - links copied out of WhatsApp usually drag extra words along. Paste only the link itself.

Open the link in a private window, where you are not logged in. Chrome calls it Incognito, Safari calls it Private. If the post does not show up there, it is private, and no download site can reach it.

Download buttons go stale after a while. Left the page open a long time? Go back, paste the link again, and use the new button. If a fresh try also fails, someone probably deleted the post or locked the account.

Nearly always your internet dropped for a moment, especially with long videos on mobile data. Try again on wifi. If it stops at the same point every time, paste the link again for a new button.

Wait a minute and carry on. That limit exists so nobody can flood the site. A person using it normally will never see it.

For Reels, videos, pictures and swipe posts, no - nobody is told anything. Stories are the one exception, and only inside the Instagram app. Open a story there and your name goes on the list the owner can see. That is the app doing it, not us.

The link you paste, held for a few minutes, and the number that identifies your connection, used only to count how fast links arrive so nobody can flood the site. No account, no email, no tracking. The privacy page spells it out.

We ask for a link and nothing else. Some advice that holds for any site like this: never type your Instagram password anywhere except instagram.com itself, and walk away from any download site that asks you to install something.

When you save something, it does not become yours. Watch it later, keep a recipe, save your own posts - nobody minds any of that. But put someone else’s video on your account, make money from it, or say you made it, and you have taken their work. Creators do complain.

Credit helps, but it is not permission. The safe route is short: send the person a message and ask. Most say yes. Then put their name on it and link to the original post.

Not without permission from the owner. And a Reel can have two owners - one for the video and one for the song. Business use is where complaints actually land.

Report it to Instagram directly. That works far better than anything we can do, because they can delete the post and act against the account. We keep no copies, so there is usually nothing on our side to remove. The copyright page explains more.
